Madison Prewett got the first one-on-one date of the season during Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor years ago. But now, the 29-year-old is married to her husband, Grant Troutt, and her marriage became a widespread topic when she discussed her “submission” as a wife.
“Being a submissive wife, it was a challenge for me at first, but now, it’s my favorite thing,” Madison said on the Stay True podcast in December 2025. “I love talking about submission.”
Though the comment raised eyebrows among some fans, others weren’t surprised because that wasn’t the first time Madi had discussed the topic. During a June 2024 episode of her podcast, Madi said, “As a wife, I’m called to submit, I’m called to respect, I’m called to honor, I’m called to be committed and keep our marriage bed pure.”
“When I submitted to my husband, I found the security I was craving,” she explained. “It wasn’t in my nagging, it wasn’t in my controlling, it wasn’t in my feminist approach that I got security, it was in the submission. … My voice is not taken away. We are in this marriage together, we are a team. We make decisions together, and I recognize him as the leader.”
