FBI Arrests Virginia Man In Long-Unsolved January 6 Pipe Bomb Case

The FBI arrested a man from Virginia for allegedly setting up pipe bombs outside the headquarters of major political parties in Washington D.C. just before the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, a case that had been unresolved for almost five years. The arrest is now a part of the stronger investigation that the new FBI management has motivated. On the same day, Kelly itself reported the event and the story lit the audience up with instant and serious doubt as to the veracity of the official version.

Megyn Kelly first broke the news of the arrest of Brian Cole during her show. He was arrested based on the alleged placement of the explosive devices at the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee headquarters on January 5, 2021. Besides the police action that was apparently taking place in the residence of a suspect, the report added that Kelly also helped the law enforcement officers, by giving them ideas for stories based on the already existing case files. However, the arrest was not a result of a fresh tip-off but rather through revisiting of files that had been compiled earlier.

The first FBI video evidence surfaced was by Kelly who again showed the person being approximately 5’7″, donned with a mask, grey hoodie, black gloves and the definitely recognizable Nike Air Max Speed Turf shoes and getting ready to plant the bombs out of a backpack. The case that had become a stalemate for years, Kelly pointed out. “We’ve never quite figured out why this case was so apparently impossible to crack,” she said.

Nonetheless, the announcement got a very strong skeptical reception in the comments, where the news was reported. The main belief of the commenters was that of a cover-up concerning another suspect— a female who had previously been connected to the case. A user even asked, “I thought it was a woman??” This was a very common feeling. “This is a coverup. They already had the right person and she is at the CIA,” said one more commenter.

Some users quickly reminded others of the previous rumors that the bomber might have been a girl. “But it was a woman in the early reports and the FBI said ‘SHE is one of ours.’ ?????” one user remarked, while another added, “This guy is the patsy!” Thus, a narrative appeared that Cole is being held responsible in order to protect someone within, a situation that indeed received a lot of backing.

The widespread reaction was the mistrust towards federal law enforcement agencies. “Can we seriously trust the DOJ/FBI?” one of the most liked comments was that and it attracted a lot of people’s concurrence. Others raised the issue of the timing and the reasons behind the arrest after such a long period of time. “The mental gymnastics is exhausting,” was the comment of a user. “They were able to track down thousands of J6ers in just a few days… and you are telling us that someone could plant bombs in both DC headquarters and then escape from the authorities for years? It is an insult to our intelligence.”

Sarcastic comments were also made. “If you think this guy is the bomber, you probably also think that we never landed on the moon,” was one of the comments. Another one said about the personality of the suspect, based on stereotypes: “I know you shouldn’t really be biased but I bet he is either choosing the ‘they/them’ pronouns, has blue hair or a septum piercing!”

The arrest happened to be a significant breakthrough in the long-lasting riddles of the January 6th event. However, the rapid response of skepticism from segment of population has clearly shown an acute distrust relationship with federal institutions. For some people, the official version is not only doubtful but an instance of active deception which has been perpetrated on the public. It is expected that the FBI will hold a press conference to provide further details on the charges which may include more solid evidence. Until then, the public remains divided with a significant portion who are sure that the real criminal is still out there and enjoying protection. The case still remains a constraining factor in the larger debates about the government operations accountability and transparency. In other news, Amelia Lewis recently shared her story, while Matthew McConaughey discussed his outlook on life. Furthermore, Charlie Kirk was honored in a recent broadcast.
