Immortal Man’ Coming to Theaters and Netflix in March

The Peaky Blinders TV series earned a lot of popularity on Netflix, allowing audiences to binge-watch the program on the streaming service, but the upcoming movie Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is set to make the jump to the big screen in March. For years, subscribers had to settle for only being able to see Netflix’s offerings on their TVs, but Immortal Man continues a growing trend of titles getting both the big-screen and streaming treatment. Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man will hit theaters on March 6 and on Netflix on March 20.

The film’s release date was announced on social media through an all-new poster for the movie, which you can check out below. The new movie is described:

Birmingham, 1940. Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet. With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons, and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground.

What Else Can ‘Peaky Blinders’ Fans Expect?

A variety of narratives started in the world of TV, going on to culminate in theatrical outings, signaling the end of that franchise. Luckily, the upcoming Immortal Man is only one chapter in the ongoing Peaky Blinders legacy, with sequel TV series. The sequel series is described:

Britain, 1953. After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel. In a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger: with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.

Peaky Blinders premiered on BBC Two in 2013 before arriving on Netflix in 2014. The series was created by Steven Knight and is described, “A notorious gang in 1919 Birmingham, England, is led by the fierce Tommy Shelby, a crime boss set on moving up in the world no matter the cost.”

Like many projects, Peaky Blinders had humble beginnings and, when it premiered on Netflix, earned newfound attention and acclaim. It ran for six seasons and won multiple awards in the UK and Europe. Part of those humble beginnings includes its cast, which enlisted what were then somewhat unknown stars, only for the cast of the series to become some of the most sought-after talents in cinema. Starring in Immortal Man are Cillian Murphy, Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck, Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Jay Lycurgo, and Barry Keoghan.
