Marvel Rivals is releasing one of the coolest Daredevil skins for the Holidays, inspired by one of Matt Murdock’s best moments from the comics.

When it comes to Christmastime and Daredevil, one moment on the page surpasses all others and has long been cited as one of Matt Murdock’s funniest moments of all time. Now, Marvel Rivals is immortalizing the moment even further as a brand-new Daredevil skin coming soon to the game.

Marvel Rivals Is Giving Daredevil The Best Holiday Skin Ever

Shown next to brand-new Holiday skins like a Nutcracker Star-Lord skin and an awesome Frosty the Snowman skin for Peni Parker, Daredevil gets a brand-new Rivals skin for the Holidays, too.

Wearing a red sweater that reads “I’m Not Daredevil,” Murdock is also wearing a devil-horn headband with candy-cane colored billy clubs. This is ripped straight from the comics, specifically from an issue that was released 14 years ago, but it’s still just as iconic online as the ultimate in-universe troll from Matt Murdock.

Matt Murdock’s “I’m Not Daredevil” Holiday Sweater Explained

In 2011’s Daredevil #7 by Mark Waid and Paolo Rivera, Matt Murdock and his partner Foggy Nelson throw a holiday party at their offices. However, this was happening at a time when Murdock had recently been outed as Daredevil, with it pretty much being an open secret to the public.

That being said, the running gag of Waid’s run was that Murdock would continually deny that he and Daredevil were the same person whenever people asked him. This led to the holiday party, where Murdock super-leaned into the entire thing with his red sweater, effectively being one of the biggest trolls from a superhero in comic book history.

Thanks to this scene, this issue instantly became one of the most beloved Daredevil comics, not to mention the rest of the issue, where Matt Murdock leads a bunch of kids to safety in the middle of a blizzard.

Now, Marvel Rivals players will soon have the opportunity to get their hands on the “I’m Not Daredevil” skin, which has been adapted incredibly well. The candy cane billy clubs replacing the longer cane Murdock has on the page is a very nice touch.

Although Marvel Rivals has a pretty track record when it comes to adapting costumes from the comics, this new Daredevil skin is arguably one of their very best yet.

Marvel Rivals’ new Holiday skins are set to release on December 19th.
