The royal family have given Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor the boot. But Prince William allegedly wants to go one step further. A royal insider claims that the Prince plans to “deal with” his controversial uncle as soon as possible. And he wants to do it before King Charles dies.
Prince William “wants the stables cleaned” before he becomes King
For some time, reports have said Prince William has had enough of his disgraced uncle. And now royal biographer Andrew Lownie has revealed that the future king is allegedly keen to cut all ties.
The author says Andrew knows this, and is concerned about his future. He told Page Six: “He’s worried about what’s going to happen. He’s going to be no longer protected. William is going to deal with him.”
The biographer also said that William “wants to deal” with Andrew before Charles, who was diagnosed with cancer last year, passes away. He told the publication: “He wants the stables cleaned… The window dressing is that Andrew will leave by the spring, and he’s a good boy, and he’s done what he’s been told.”
However, this transition may not be as smooth as William might hope. The author notes Andrew isn’t exactly “a good boy,” and expects him to go “go kicking and screaming.” He is apparently also likely to make a series of demands, including a “pretty big house, extensive staff, a gardener, a driver, a housekeeper [and] a cook.”
This potential drama could be why William is keen to settle the matter before Charles dies and he becomes king.
Meanwhile, Lownie, who is currently working on the paperback edition of his book, “Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York,” says there is plenty of juicy stuff to come. He revealed: “I would say almost every day, two or three people come to me with stories of encounters with [Andrew]. I’ve had some people from the intelligence agencies who were frustrated, who were reporting things that were just being ignored.”
