A Supacell cast member has been dropped from the series after pleading guilty to a crime. The Netflix superhero TV show debuted on the streamer in 2024 to rave reviews. Production on Supacell season 2 is underway right now in the UK.
However, when the series returns, one cast member won’t be there. Actor and rapper Justin Jude Clarke-Samuel, better known as Ghetts, was expected to return to Supacell, but that’s no longer happening now that he’s confessed to killing someone in a car crash, according to Deadline. It’s unclear if Ghetts had filmed any scenes for the new season yet.
On Monday, December 8, Ghetts submitted a guilty plea in court after causing a hit-and-run back on October 18.
According to Metropolitan Police, the actor/rapper was driving a BMW on a 30mph London road. However, he drove over 60mph and hit a 20-year-old man named Yubin Tamang, who was walking across the road. Tamang was sent to the hospital and died days later.
Instead of stopping his car after causing the hit-and-run, Ghetts went back home, which is where he was located when law enforcement arrested him. He is currently behind bars in HM Prison Pentonville, awaiting his sentencing on February 12, 2026, two months from now.
Ghetts has released multiple albums, EPs and mixtapes over the years, including Rebel with a Cause, Ghetto Gospel: The New Testament, Conflict of Interest, On Purpose, with Purpose and Forbidden Frequencies.
After establishing himself in the music industry, the entertainer branched out into acting, first in the lead role in The Intent 2: The Come Up. Then in 2024, he starred in the Rapman-created Netflix superhero series as Craig “Krazy.” His fellow Supacell cast members included Tosin Cole, Nadine Mills, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Calvin Demba, Josh Tedeku and Adelayo Adedayo.
Supacell earned overwhelmingly positive reviews and a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes upon its release on Netflix.
The series centers on five Londoners who gain superpowers and are forced to defend themselves from an organization intent on using them for its own gain. The superpowered individuals all have one thing in common: they come from families with a history of sickle cell disease, which seems to be how they got their powers in the first place.
The Supacell season 1 finale ended with Ghetts’ character, Krazy, being shot, but his death wasn’t confirmed.
With that type of a cliffhanger, it will likely be easy for Supacell season 2 to reveal that Krazy died from the gunshot, but fans will have to wait for the series to return to see if that’s how the producers and writers conclude his storyline.
