There’s no way around it, Ryan’s death and what he suffered through is simply horrific. TMZ obtained the long list of causes, publishing just 15 of them on their website, which, according to them, wasn’t even everything. Among the common ones were numerous lacerations, punctures and haemorrhaging.

The Tulsa Medical Examiner concluded that Ryan suffered blunt force, sharp force and crushing injuries. He was handling a tiger during a show in September when it suddenly grabbed him around the neck and shoulder, before sinking its teeth into him and shaking him.

Paramedics and deputies responded to the scene, but he was pronounced dead not long after. Ryan had extensive experience working with animals. His father reportedly worked as a zookeeper who handled elephants. Ryan got an apprenticeship with a tiger trainer after visiting a circus at the age of 21.

He opened Growler Pines following the onset of the COVID pandemic. Animal rights groups like PETA, claim Ryan had gotten tigers from Joe Exotic, among others. They accused Ryan of being violent towards the tigers in 2017. Joe is currently behind bars after being convicted of a murder for hire plot against animal rights activist Carol Baskin. He lashed out at President Donald Trump in October for releasing Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley before him. Joe has been seeking a Presidential pardon.

Growler Pines called Ryan’s death a painful reminder about the beauty and unpredictability of the natural world. Ryan was 37.
