Anthony Joshua’s driver appears in court over fatal crash in Nigeria | World News

A driver charged in connection with a fatal crash in Nigeria, which killed two passengers and injured boxer Anthony Joshua, has appeared in court.

Joshua, a two-time world champion, was travelling in the back of a black Lexus SUV when it struck a stationary truck on a major road, near Nigeria’s largest city Lagos, on 29 December.

His friends Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami were killed.

Ghami was Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, while Ayodele was a trainer and described as being like a “twin brother” to Joshua.

Joshua, who is British-Nigerian, left hospital a few days after the crash.
