If you thought you’d seen everything Cyberpunk 2077 had to offer, think again: it turns out there’s a secret loot room towards the very beginning of the game that the vast majority of us completely missed.
The world of Night City is probably one of the greatest and most detailed open worlds in any video game ever, and deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It’s a city filled with unexpected encounters, terrible secrets, and an almost obscene number of things to do. It’s little wonder so many of us never spotted this early game secret, then.
Cyberpunk 2077’s First Few Hours Hide A Big Secret
Here’s your excuse for a replay
Towards the end of the game’s first few hours, you’ll find yourself attempting to escape Konpeki Plaza with Jackie. A job has just gone horribly wrong, and it feels like every cop in Night City is suddenly shooting at you, so it makes sense that you wouldn’t want to stop and examine every little detail in this high-pressure level.
However, if you do decide to go off the beaten path instead of following Jackie right to the exit, you can find a small hole in the ceiling that takes you through to a small security room. Your curiosity is rewarded with some hidden in-game lore and some clothing/armor.
The Reddit user who found this secret even shows off how it’s possible to get back up to the roof of the Plaza, although I should stress there’s nothing of note waiting for you up there besides drones that can and will shoot you in the face.
Cyberpunk 2077 Is Having A Big 2026
Here we go again
While there’s no official word on when we can expect Cyberpunk 2077‘s sequel to release, 2026 is still going to be a big year for CD Projekt RED’s sci-fi RPG. Cyberpunk 2077 officially returns with a new board game next year, and we’re also getting a brand-new trading-card game.
And, of course, there’s absolutely nothing stopping you from starting a new playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077. Because I just know all that talk of a secret in Konpeki Plaza has got you thinking about that.
