Apple has quietly clarified the future of Pixelmator’s decade-old iPad app, confirming that while it still works, its days of active development are over.
On Tuesday, Apple announced that Pixelmator Pro would be coming to iPad. That left many wondering about the fate of Pixelmator Pro’s diminutive counterpart, Pixelmator.
Scrolling all the way to the bottom of Apple’s Pixelmator Pro page gives us a glimpse into the fate of Pixelmator — which it refers to as “Pixelmator Classic.” The footnote under the “How does Pixelmator Pro compare to Pixelmator Classic for iPad?” section reads:
