The long-awaited MCU sequel fans have waited nearly five years for is still well on its way, according to the film’s star. Simu Liu, who is set to feature as Shang-Chi in the upcoming event film Avengers: Doomsday, has revealed a promising new update on his superhero franchise.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Liu confirmed that Marvel Studios is still developing a sequel to the 2021 superhero blockbuster Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. He did not have a “whole lot to tease” at the moment, but reassured fans that a follow-up is being made.
“There’s not a whole lot to tease right now, other than I think, I sound like a broken record at this point, but it is happening.”
