Timothée Chalamet Thanks Kylie Jenner After Critics’ Choice Awards Win

Timothée Chalamet thanked his longtime girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, during his Critics’ Choice Awards speech after he won the Best Actor Award for his performance in Marty Supreme.

Chalamet expressed his gratitude to Jenner, whom he had been with for three years, during his Critics’ Choice Awards acceptance speech. He stated that her love and support were an essential part of his journey as an actor. After he thanked her, the camera cut to Jenner, who mouthed I love you back to him.

Thank you to my partner for three years. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Chalamet complimented the other actors in his category for their strong performances. The nominees for Best Actor include Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Joel Edgerton (Train Dreams), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners), and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent). The actor admitted to feeling more nervous than expected during his speech.

He also thanked Marty Supreme’s director and co-writer, Josh Safdie. Chalamet commended him for his storytelling abilities and how impressed he was with how well written the protagonist of the film was. He added that he believed that more films should follow in Safdie’s footsteps when it comes to character development and blurring the lines between right and wrong.

You made a story about a flawed man with a relatable dream, and you didn’t preach to the audience about what’s right and wrong. I think we should all be telling stories like that. Thank you for this dream.

Before the Critics’ Choice Awards began, Hacks stars Meg Stalter (Kayla Schaeffer) and Paul W. Downs (Jimmy Lusaque Jr.) made a splash on the carpet wearing coordinated orange outfits. Their clothing resembled what Jenner and Chalamet wore at the premiere of Marty Supreme.

Marty Supreme is a sports drama film about an aspiring table tennis player named Marty Mauser who chases his dream of becoming a famous athlete one day. However, his journey is filled with several self-inflicted problems due to his pride and selfish tendencies. The film also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher alongside Chalamet, who plays the titular character.

Marty Supreme is playing in theaters now.
