How To Get Grace’s Gun Back

Resident Evil Requiem is filled with deadly zombies and other monstrosities that want you dead, and you’re not going to do much to them without a trusty sidearm. Grace begins the game with her S&S M232 handgun, but it’s lost before she ends up at the Care Center, where she’ll spend the next few hours of the game.

While you’ll easily find another pistol while exploring the Care Center, you may be surprised to hear that you can actually find Grace’s original S&S M232 shortly after as well. This is a better choice for most situations, so you won’t want to overlook it during your exploration. With that in mind, we’ll tell you how to get Grace’s gun back in Resident Evil Requiem.

How To Get Grace’s Gun Back

When you reach the Guard Office during the opening few minutes of being in the Care Center, you’ll need to go downstairs and visit with Emily in the Medication Room. Here, you’ll obtain a keycard that will allow you to access the West Wing. With this in hand, leave the Guard Office and take a left into the Central Hall, then open the West Wing using the keycard.

There will be zombies throughout the hallways ahead, so it’s best to avoid them to the best of your ability so you can make a straight shot to your gun.

Grace sneaks past the zombie chef

For starters, go left down the hallway, following the linear path to the kitchen. In here is the zombie chef, who can make quick work of you if you’re seen. Crouch and sneak past him (or run quickly past him if you want to be a bit riskier), exiting the kitchen through the door opposite the one you entered.

Grace enters a dining room and sees a gun on the floor

Take an immediate right down the next hallway, then head north into the dining room. On the ground just right of the zombies feasting on the table will be a B934 handgun. Pick it up. Note that this is not Grace’s S&S M232 handgun, but it’ll help protect you until we reach it.

Unfortunately, B934 handgun doesn’t come with any ammo inside, so you’ll need to get your hands on some quickly. Don’t fret, though, as there is ammo very close to your location.

Grace spots ammo on a desk in a small room

Leave the dining room through the northern exit, then vault into the room on your left to find a few handgun bullets on a table. Make sure to grab the Makeshift Knife in the locker next to it, too. Afterward, leave this room and continue down the hallway until you find a box next to some stairs leading up. Smash the box for an additional eight bullets. This should be enough bullets to handle the zombie on the stairs here.

Grace looks at a broken box

Head up the stairs and into the next room, the Bar & Lounge. In here are three enemies, including a Singer zombie. If you’re approaching this section very early and are short on ammo, you may find it best to sneak past these foes rather than fighting them. If you’re on Casual difficulty, they’ll go down with some knife swings and a few bullets, but you’re not likely to survive on other difficulties until you’ve obtained more resources.

Grace sees her gun on the counter of the bar

However you choose to tackle the zombies in the Bar & Lounge, your goal is to wrap around to the left and behind the bar. You’ll find Grace’s S&S M232 handgun on the bar counter here.

From this point, keep your eyes open for extra handgun ammo as you explore the world of Resident Evil Requiem, as your knives will break easily and leave you defenseless otherwise. Unlike Leon, Grace only has access to pistols, so you’re at enough of a disadvantage as it is without leaving helpful supplies behind, after all.
