Cyberpunk 2077 Second DLC Pack Leaves Gamers Baffled

Cyberpunk 2077 fans were left baffled this week when the release date of its second Fortnite DLC quietly came and went without any new content. The first wave of Cyberpunk‘s Fortnite crossover was released in December 2025, bringing new cosmetics based on V, Johnny Silverhand, and the Arasaka corporation to the battle royale game.

Fortnite has repeatedly teased a second wave of Cyberpunk content, which many fans have theorized will include skins based on antagonist Adam Smasher. However, the rumored release date of March 24 has come and gone, leaving many players wondering whether the DLC was quietly canceled amid challenges at developer Epic Games.

Where Is Cyberpunk 2077’s Second Fortnite DLC?

Delayed? Canceled? Affected by layoffs?

Although no official release date was confirmed by Epic, many fans expected wave 2 of the Cyberpunk cosmetics to go live on March 24, based on alleged leaks that also seemed to confirm the existence of an Adam Smasher skin. However, the 24th came and went, and there’s been no news from Epic on when to expect the collab.

It’s certainly possible that the leaks simply got the release date wrong, or weren’t accurate to begin with. Epic never revealed an official release date for wave 2 of the Cyberpunk collab; the only official announcement they made on the subject was a simple teaser, released on March 6, with no date or details attached.

However, it’s also possible that the collab was delayed by the recent layoffs at Epic Games, which affected over 1,000 jobs and saw the permanent shutdown of three Fortnite game modes. Although we don’t know exactly which positions were impacted by the layoffs, it’s certainly possible that those responsible for putting the finishing touches on the Cyberpunk collab were among them.

Of course, it’s also entirely possible that the Cyberpunk collab was quietly delayed for reasons unbeknownst to us. Again, Epic never announced an official date, so it’s hard to get a read on what really happened here, but fans are up in arms nonetheless.

Cyberpunk 2077 Fans Are Baffled

“Did they seriously cancel wave 2?”

A Reddit post by user Successful-Tower2066 questions the fate of the Cyberpunk crossover and Adam Smasher skin, asking, “He was supposed to come out two days ago and there wasn’t even a mention of him… I heard that they scrapped it. Is this true?”

Many commenters naturally assumed that the “delay” was related to layoffs at Epic. “They probably fired the person that was supposed to decrypt it,” suggested Teddyp_14.

Some take a humorous outlook on the situation, joking that Smasher was “laid off” along with thousands of other Epic employees last week. HighStakesJoni commented, “It’s most likely delayed because putting in a character that is the embodiment of ruthless corporate greed after blatant ruthless corporate greed is probably just not cool.”

Others were more hopeful, suggesting Epic might’ve delayed the release in order to secure more skins for the Cyberpunk collab — not just Adam Smasher. Fans have been clamoring for the default male protagonist, as well as characters like Judy Alvarez, Panam Palmer, Rogue Amendiares, Kerry Eurodyne, or Jackie Welles to come to the battle royale as part of the crossover.

Either way, it’s impossible to say for certain whether the second wave is still coming, as Epic has never confirmed anything beyond the original teaser trailer. We’ll just have to wait for more news on the Cyberpunk 2077 collab to find out what really happened.
