Elden Ring Gets Unexpected Official Release On March 31

Elden Ring fans have been waiting patiently for an official update on the Switch 2 port, which appears to be progressing well. While there’s still no news or updates on the future of the franchise beyond the Switch 2 Tarnished Edition launch, players are keeping their fingers crossed for a possible sequel announcement.

However, there’s an official new release scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, that players will definitely want to check out. It’s a completely unexpected drop nobody saw coming, and it’s available for pre-order now (via Bandai Namco).

Elden Ring Is Back With A Surprising New Release

Messmer the Impaler holds out a hand with a ball of fire while looking into the camera.

Messmer the Impaler, Malenia, Blade of Miquella, and one of the most iconic Elden Ring weapons, the Dark Moon Greatsword, are all making an official return this month with brand-new skate decks. You read that right, Bandai Namco is releasing three officially licensed Elden Ring skateboard decks featuring Messmer, Malenia, and the Dark Moon Greatsword, all available to pre-order now.

Each skate deck features original, limited edition designs, and they are listed for roughly $90 USD. The Malenia board has “original artwork featuring Malenia’s golden helm, roots, and butterflies,” while Messmer’s deck features an original flame design from Shadow of the Erdtree, Elden Ring‘s huge DLC expansion. And then there is the elegantly designed, glow-in-the-dark Dark Moon Greatsword deck featuring one of the game’s most iconic weapons.

All three decks are made of 7-ply Northeast maple, with a #5 medium concave design and “black full-dipped finish with a natural wood core.” Further, the decks are each limited to just 750 units, so fans will want to claim these unique collector’s items while supplies last.

It’s Available From March 31

Elden Ring fans can pre-order these brand-new collector’s items now, with the line of skate decks officially releasing on Tuesday, March 31. These are the perfect addition to any hardcore fan’s collection, and while it isn’t the major Elden Ring announcement players are hoping for, the decks will be a major head-turner at the local skate park this summer.

Bandai Namco has a variety of Elden Ring collector’s items available for purchase now on their official store, with a ton of upcoming releases scheduled for the rest of the year. If you’re looking to expand your Elden Ring collection, be sure to grab one or all of these original skate decks before it’s too late.
