The cracks in Kyle Cooke’s and Amanda Batula’s marriage have really started to show in Summer House Season 10. The two have battled it out over their communication issues and rumors that Kyle has been unfaithful. Now there is even more fuel to the fire. Kyle had big plans for his DJ career, which left Amanda concerned for Kyle and the future of their relationship.
Amanda wonders how long Kyle’s DJ career can last
It’s been a tense season for Kyle and Amanda. Amanda has been upset that Kyle has been airing out their dirty laundry to the group instead of talking with her. And she’s expressed concern to him to get his drinking under control.
During Season 10, Episode 7, Amanda and Kyle went head to head again. And this time it was about his DJ career.
When Kyle mentioned he was under a lot of stress, Amanda wondered if he should cut back on some things. Cough, cough, like being a DJ. But according to Kyle, that was the only thing bringing him “joy.”
He then dropped the bomb. Kyle said, “I’m close to signing with a manager that will help me book better gigs that pay more.” Amanda was not pleased. She asked, “How long are we doing this DJing thing for?”
This was not the reaction Kyle was hoping for. Amanda stated, “I didn’t marry a DJ. And all the sudden I’m now the wife of one. Do you see this being a long-term thing?”
Kyle was shocked. He said in his confessional, “I’m making money doing DJ gigs, but I’m also getting Loverboy into venues that normally charge. I just don’t understand she doesn’t see it from my perspective. She could care less about my business, my debt, my employees … our financial future. You’d think that would matter to Amanda.”
What Amanda did care about was how Kyle would be gone all the time instead of spending time with her. But Kyle seemed determined to continue on with being a DJ regardless.
