For nearly 13 years, PAW Patrol has made a name for itself as one of the most successful animated children’s series of the modern era. After 11 seasons of television and two hit feature-length movies (which combined to gross more than $350 million at the global box office), the stage is now set for a third movie in the franchise, which was officially titled PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie. This eagerly-awaited sequel’s title was first announced in February 2026, setting the titular crew of adorable puppies up for what should be their most intense story yet.

Directed by Cal Brunker on a screenplay written by Brunker and Bob Barlen, this film will be the first new addition to the PAW Patrol movie saga since 2023’s PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, which gave the leading puppies superpowers and showed them stopping ayor Humdinger and a mad scientist named Victoria Vance, who wanted to steal their powers. Now, as the team looks ahead to the next chapter in the story, its promotional tour moves forward with the best look yet at this new movie.

Paramount Pictures released the first official trailer for PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, the third installment of the PAW Patrol movie trilogy that continues the story from the Nickelodeon series. The trailer centers on 10-year-old Ryder (played by Henry Bolan) and his team of talking puppies as their ship crash-lands on a mysterious island, which was previously hidden. As the puppies navigate their way through the island, they are shocked to learn that it is a home for dinosaurs, calling it “the greatest discovery in the world.”

The puppies and Ryder find out about a volcano that is about to erupt, meaning they have to work together to save all of the dinosaurs from being wiped out. The trailer also includes a new original song from the Backstreet Boys, which is titled “Bottle Up.”
