Take Biden’s demotion as a badge of honor

Bravo, Mr. Mayor: You did the right thing standing up to President Joe Biden and his administration on the migrant crisis they’ve created.

Even if it did get you dropped as a national surrogate from Joe’s re-election campaign.

Adams quite correctly accused the feds of turning their backs on New York amid record inflows and pointed out that “the city is being destroyed by the migrant crisis.”

This shows he cares far more about New Yorkers and the real problems they face than sucking up to national Dems.

The migrants arriving here are already projected to cost the city north of $4 billion these next two fiscal years.

And that figure is sure to skyrocket as the end of Title 42 supercharges arrivals (as it’s already started to do).

So the mayor’s outrage here is more than justified.

Especially since there’s a clear line of blame from Biden’s policies since Day 1 and the fix we’re in now.

No, Adams doesn’t go as far as we think he should.

Instead of demanding real border enforcement coupled with a rational and humane legal immigration policy (the only possible fix), he asks for more federal money and expedited work visas for the migrants.

But he is the rare Dem politician showing courage on the issue.

Biden and his circle, as well as leftists in Congress and New York, ruthlessly demagogue it.

They claim any opposition to unchecked illegal immigration at all is racism.

Never mind the horrors that the Biden policy is inflicting on the mostly non-white migrants.

Indeed, 63% of Gothamites were saying enough is enough back in February.

That figure is surely higher now.

Adams’ pushback takes real cojones in a party so riddled with cowards, thinking only of patronage and Twitter activism — and not the voters they represent.

Are you listening, Sen. Chuck Schumer? Gov. Kathy Hochul? Speaker Hakeem Jeffries?

You should be.

Adams, meanwhile, should wear his demotion as a badge of honor.
