Shakira Breaks Yet Another Guinness World Record: Details


Just like her hips, Shakira’s success as a renowned Hispanic singer doesn’t lie. The Colombian has been smashing countless Guinness World Records since becoming a big name, achieving yet another one recently.

She is currently on the road for the Las Mujeres Ya No Loran World Tour. That’s in support of her 12th studio album, which came out in 2024. From an early age, Shakira has been writing music and performing while drawing massive crowds to her concerts. Years after becoming a renowned world superstar, fans evidently still want to see her up close and personal.

Shakira is no stranger to breaking Guinness World Records

She started writing music and performing before the age of 10 and, at 48, is continuing to set new standards. Wherever, Whenever she goes on her current tour, people are buying tickets to see her. Billboard reports that Shakira is now has the highest-grossing tour of all-time among Hispanic performers.

That’s her 10th Guinness World Record. The multiple Grammy winner has sold over 3.3 million tickets on her current tour. She’s generated $421.6 million as a result, putting her above Mexican singer Luis Miguel in first place. He collected $409.5 million during his Luis Miguel tour in 2023-24, playing 190 shows. Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny is third on that list, grossing $314 million on the 2022 World’s Hottest Tour.

Shakira expressed gratitude to her fans upon breaking yet another record. She called it a huge achievement, given how many great Latin men and women have toured before. It isn’t just her music, however, that captures people’s attention. Late last year, she caught many people’s eyes by sporting a strapless mini dress on Instagram.

Previously, she had set four Guinness World Records in a week. Her song BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53, was the most-viewed Latin track on YouTube in 24 hours, with 63 million views. It later became the fastest Latin tune to hit 100 million views on YouTube.
