Art Garfunkel Jr. is doing a one-night-only show with 20 songs

Son’s ‘Sound of Silence’

Art Garfunkel Jr. Age 32. Birth name James Arthur Garfunkel. Born New York City. Lived in Germany since age 16. Has a girlfriend. Doing a one night only tonight, 8 p.m. at City Winery. He didn’t know the address.

“I’m doing 20 ‘Songs of My Father.’ All hits from his repertoire. He may or may not be able to sing with me in a duet but my father, a living legend, will be there.

“Our voices differ. Mine slightly higher. He’s a tenor. We’re both 5-foot-11 but I’m sort of bigger. And maybe more street smart. And have a moustache and beard which he didn’t. Listen, my life is a tribute to his contributions.

“I was popular in my Upper East Side private school. They always asked what’s it like to have a famous father.”

That’s probably what he said. Mostly. He was in a car. And kept driving on the highway from Pittsburgh to here. His phone didn’t care who his father was. It kept cutting out and I had to redial him and it repeatedly cut out and half the time I couldn’t hear him.

“Yiddish was my first language. Age 2 I sang a couple of notes just when I started to talk. I never took a lesson. Going around with my father I learned by doing. I was part of his show.”

Where’s he going next? He said: “Australia.” But hearing him indistinctly, could be he said Austria. Or maybe could’ve even been Altoona.

Georgie Porgie won’t go away

Certified loser George Santos may his tripe decrease. Despite doo-doo up to and behind his behind, he wants to run — or limp slowly — again. Toward re-election. Mind, he’s fighting lawsuits, in merde with authorities, facing assorted charges and as popular as a cockroach on a wedding cake.

Less welcome than hunted Hunter Biden, Santos is actually looking to scratch together a fund-raiser after all this. This requires sponsorship by the congressperson who represents your district.

Fuhgeddaboutit. Ain’t nobody coming forth. Or offering used clothes. Or even letting him on the block.

In the image of fascism

PAY attention. There exists a specific sign Nazis called a Schwarze Sonne or Sonnenrad. This sun wheel SS symbol was recently adopted by QAnon neo-Nazis. Allegedly designed by a worker down South, it’s been superimposed on flags there.

Gavel babble

MORE political poop. State Chief Judge Rowan Wilson hired the state Senate Democratic majority’s policy director as his top staffer — after Dems rejected Gov. Kathy Hochul’s choice for Chief Judge Hector LaSalle.

“Reeks of quid pro quo,” said Riverhead’s Anthony Palumbo, the Senate Judiciary Committee ranking Republican. “Judiciary independence appears compromised.”

A New York first, leaders zapped the governor’s pick for LaSalle. Too moderate for state Senate lefties.

Hochul then nominated more liberal Justice Wilson, a dissenter when the high court struck as unconstitutional congressional district lines drawn by Democrats to favor their candidates. Maps were then crafted by a court-appointee for the 2022 elections. This case comes again before the Court of Appeals.

Hopefully second chance is the charm.

NOT only in New York, kids, are they asking: “Biden, Biden, how much you hidin’?”
