On Claim to Fame, Olivia Aquilina (who uses they/she pronouns) was one of the biggest mysteries to their fellow contestants, and they expressed that they could have won if they didn’t guess Karsyn’s identity as Jeff Gordon’s relative incorrectly. Olivia’s cast mates’ best guess was that they could be related to Carrot Top, but they were wrong. Olivia is television personality and The Masked Singer panelist Jenny McCarthy’s niece. Their fellow Claim to Fame contestants were shocked by the reveal. Gabriel even said that Olivia could’ve won the show because they wouldn’t have guessed her correctly.
In an interview with HollywoodLife, Olivia revealed that they thought they could’ve made it to at least the top three, and possibly even won, if they hadn’t guessed Karsyn wrong. They explained, “I think I could have gotten very far and definitely can see myself winning!” Olivia added that, by the end of the show, “so much is revealed that most likely everyone knows everyone, so there’s a strong chance I would have killed the final challenge and won!” Olivia went on to say that if they hadn’t guessed wrong, they believed that they could’ve made the top three.
Olivia Reveals Why “Pop Culture Part” Of Claim To Fame Was Challenging
Although Olivia was confident that they could have possibly won Claim to Fame season 2, in an interview with Popculture, they admitted that having to know so much about pop culture to succeed on the show was difficult. Because they watched Claim to Fame season 1, they knew that they had “a lot of work to do pop culture-wise.” This was because Olivia admitted that they don’t follow many celebrities, “and tend to be bad at names, so I knew the pop culture part of this show would be a challenge for me.”
Olivia was a mystery to both their fellow Claim to Fame contestants and viewers because so little was revealed about them. They were doing a great job of staying under the radar and keeping their identity under wraps. No one had chosen their Wine Room puzzle clue, and Jenny McCarthy was never mentioned as a possibility for their celebrity relative. Olivia is most likely correct that, if they hadn’t guessed Karsyn wrong, they would’ve made it very far in the game, and maybe even won. However, Claim to Fame is more than just keeping one’s identity secret. It’s also crucial to win challenges to avoid being the guesser.
Olivia wasn’t one hundred percent certain about Karsyn’s celebrity relative, but they had to guess because they were the guesser. Although their elimination was unfortunate for them, their wrong guess has now narrowed down Karsyn’s celebrity relative’s possibilities for the remaining contestants. Olivia was a fantastic contestant who was playing a superb game, but becoming the guesser was their downfall. However, it was thrilling to find out that Jenny was Olivia’s Claim to Fame.
Claim to Fame airs Mondays at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
