Shia LaBeouf has been arrested, following a street fight at Mardi Gras in New Orleans that required the actor to be treated by paramedics.
In unverified footage shared online, the actor can be seen shirtless outside a bar in the city’s French Quarter. He appears to be squaring off with patrons outside, after allegedly being cut off by the bar staff. Exclusive footage obtained by TMZ showed the aftermath of the fight, which resulted in the authorities getting involved.
Shia LaBeouf’s Mardi Gras fight was caught on video
TMZ’s footage appears to show Shia shirtless with tattoos on display, talking to locals outside the bar. In another clip from the tabloid, the Holes actor can be seen being treated for injuries from an ambulance window.
“This is insane! Shia LaBeouf is inside the ambulance!” an onlooker can be heard saying. “I hope he doesn’t get mad and crash out on me!”
A source told the outlet that Shia was escorted out of a bar before “getting into a brawl.” After the altercation was over, he walked down the block, but then “looped back around to the front of the bar.” Subsequently, paramedics allegedly treated Shia for what is described as mild injuries. Then, he was spotted “jabbering” with paramedics.
Court records show that Shia was arrested, and is facing two charges of simple battery.
This is not remotely close to Shia’s first time having legal troubles, especially where violence is concerned.
In 2017, Shia was arrested in Savannah, Georgia, for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and obstruction. Bodycam footage showed LaBeouf using racial slurs directed at officers during his arrest. He was sentenced to probation for one year and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, as well as seek treatement for his anger and substance use issues.
