Things are looking up for Carston “Bergie” Bergersen at the Love Island USA villa as he got to go on a date with a new bombshell. Previously, Bergie was the first islander to meet Carmen Kocourek and Hannah Wright when they entered the villa when he was given a second chance after his elimination. He was the first to meet a bombshell again when America voted for him to go on a date with new bombshell Imani Wheeler. While Bergie and Hannah formed a friendship, he fell hard for Carmen, and it seemed like they were actually going to work things out.
Unfortunately, she and Victor Gonzalez coupled up, and Victor was full of rage when Carmen and Bergie continued to get to know each other. Even though Victor was voted out of the villa, Carmen still decided to call things off with Bergie, which left a lot of islanders confused since they’d saved Carmen from elimination so the two could have another shot at love. Bergie tried to find a spark with Kassy Castillo but still has had no luck making a connection at the Love Island USA villa, but Imani may just be his perfect match.
Imani & Bergie Bonded During Their First Date
Bergie entered his date with Imani, full of excitement that America had voted for him to go on the date. He felt it was perfect since it gave him the opportunity to meet a new islander before anyone else and possibly win her over. The two bonded over their nerdy qualities, and Imani admitted, unlike some of the other female islanders, that she’s not into bad boys and prefers someone nerdy.
This means out of all the male islanders, Bergie is finally at an advantage. It was clear the two were getting along great at dinner and even made up their own handshake together. Bergie was all smiles and couldn’t stop complimenting Imani’s beauty, which she seemed to really appreciate. If Bergie keeps getting to know her, and shows up to their conversations with confidence, being his authentic self, things might actually work out for him this time.
Does Imani Have Stronger Chemistry With Leonardo?
Unfortunately, Leonardo Dionicio also went on a date with Imani, and the chemistry between the two was through the roof. Clearly, her rule that she doesn’t date bad boys and is attracted to nerds doesn’t apply when Leonardo is around because he’s been breaking hearts since he arrived at the villa, and Imani seemed more into him than most the islanders seem into their current partners. While Bergie seemingly checks all of Imani’s boxes, she might change her rules around for Leonardo, and this would mean Bergie would once again be left single and without a connection at the Love Island USA villa.
