The Honkai: Star Rail 4.1 livestream is set to occur soon, revealing all the details about the upcoming patch, including its new characters and banner structure for the period, as well as the story updates and events that will help keep players active as they catch up with the main campaign quests. Around a month ago, developer HoYoverse released Honkai: Star Rail 4.0 after a small delay, kicking off a new year of content for the turn-based RPG.
The new patch took players to Planarcadia, a new destination on the Astral Express’ path, where the Nameless are revered as heroes. The location is also the home planet of Himeko, and the Trailblazer is currently occupied participating in Aha’s Phantasmoon Games. Our first impressions of Honkai: Star Rail 4.0 were that the patch started off slowly, but it will serve as a stage for what is to come in the campaign.

Before the next patch arrives, however, HoYoverse will highlight all the upcoming content in a special livestream. Because of the previous delay and the fact that Version 4.0 debuted on a Friday (updates tend to arrive on Wednesday), it was unclear when Version 4.1 would arrive, nor when its livestream would occur. However, HoYoverse has now revealed when the special event will happen.
As seen in an official post made on the Honkai: Star Rail account on Instagram, it was revealed that the Honkai: Star Rail 4.1 livestream will occur on March 13, Friday, at 7:30 am ET. Unless there is an unexpected turn of events, the special event should happen without issue. The livestream will also reveal when Version 4.1 will be released, as well as the details about the new playable character, and much more.

Ashveil Will Be A 5-Star Lightning DPS
Regarding the new content, Version 4.1 will introduce one new character, as opposed to the new characters in Honkai: Star Rail 4.0, Sparxie and Yao Guang, based on the leaks. According to leaks reported on Honey Hunter World, Ashveil is a new character joining the roster in Version 4.1. As seen in the leak, Ashveil is a 5-star Lightning character following the Path of the Hunt.
This isn’t entirely surprising because, even though the RPG has just introduced the Elation as a playable Path, Version 4.0 introduced two characters on the Path – and other Paths aren’t going to suddenly be overlooked. Based on their Path and the leaks, Ashveil is a DPS in team comps. Ashveil’s main gimmick is marking enemies as Bait, and when they are defeated, all enemies have their DEF reduced.
In addition to that, Ashveil deals a lot of damage on his own, empowered by follow-up attacks and enhanced follow-up attacks that make him more active in the team comp. Ashveil should prove to be a relentless Hunt character, incentivizing his party to zero in on a single enemy to then reduce their DEF and repeat the strategy.
According to an official announcement made by HoYoverse a while back, Version 4.1 will only last four weeks, and Ashveil will be available during both Phase 1 and Phase 2. Meanwhile, there are two rerun characters appearing in Version 4.1. HoYoverse will make official reveals for the reruns during the Version 4.1 livestream, but there are suspicions that they will be Robin and Feixiao in Honkai: Star Rail.

Expect A Lot Of Content In The New Patch
It’s still a bit unclear what direction the story in Planarcadia will take in Version 4.1, especially with the unpredictable nature of Aha and the Path of the Elation at the forefront. However, the new patch will continue to push the Planarcadia story forward. The Honkai: Star Rail 4.1 livestream will likely tease what we will be able to expect from it, even if keeping most of the main story content under wraps to avoid spoilers.
Additionally, as is per usual, the company will also highlight all of the events that players will be able to participate in during Version 4.1. It’s very likely that there will be more login events like Gift of Odyssey, which offers free pulls for players. The exact nature of the events in the next update isn’t known just yet, but it’s only a matter of days before they’re revealed. Because of the patch’s shorter duration, there may be fewer events than usual.
Aside from the campaign updates and the events, there will be more content to play through in Version 4.1, which will all be detailed during the livestream. For example, there have been leaks about new Ornaments to farm in the upcoming patch, as seen on Honey Hunter World. Additionally, there will be a new F2P (free-to-play) 5-star Elation Light Cone to obtain.
Even though Version 4.1 is expected to be a much shorter patch, lasting only four weeks in contrast to the regular six weeks, it does seem like there will be a lot to do in the next update. With a powerful new character, more Planarcadia story developments, and events to participate in, players will have their hands full in Honkai: Star Rail 4.1.
