With The Witcher 4 being on the very distant horizon, it may still be a few years until we finally get our hands on the next installment in the CD Projekt RED series. Now that Ciri is taking over as our main protagonist, The Witcher 4 will offer a welcome change, but for now, players are having to boot up yet another playthrough of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt whilst they wait.
However, with many of now knowing every inch of The Witcher 3 like the back of our hand, modders are offering players the chance to experience the game in a whole new light courtesy of unique and, most importantly, free downloads.
The Witcher 3: Brothers In Arms Is A Complete Overhaul
Developed by a team of incredibly talented modders over on Nexus Mods, The Witcher 3: Brothers in Arms is a 2025 mod for the hit CD Projekt RED RPG, allowing players to experience a collection of a whopping 5,825 bug fixes and restored content. However, if you are already lucky enough to have experienced this mod, it is also worth noting that its development team have added even more as of February 2026.
Spanning across the entire The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt campaign as well as its two DLCs, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, this mod includes a variety of fixes, ranging across quest fixes, dialogue fixes, restoring hidden and cut content, gameplay fixes, journal fixes, graphical issues, placement fixes, and lots more. Not only that, but thanks to CD Projekt RED welcoming its official modding kit, REDkit, the mod has now been rebuilt from scratch, offering hundreds more improvements to the original mod.
Brother in Arms official mod page includes a description of everything that you can expect to find, and that includes optional content available as part of the Ultimate edition of the download.
This’ll Keep You Busy Until The Witcher 4
Put simply, The Witcher 3: Brothers in Arms will be the perfect way to experience the magical world of The Witcher in a brand-new light whilst waiting for the next official installment. It may be a few years until we get our hands on The Witcher IV, but with its official trailer and gameplay reveal showing us exactly what CDPR has in store, it is pretty clear that the wait will be worth it. However, in the meantime, it is free downloads such as Brothers in Arms which make the wait that little less painful, and give us yet another excuse to boot up The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the 20th time.
