Taylor Frankie Paul of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is used to living life in the spotlight but right now, it’s only making a bad situation even worse. Now, the SLOMW star is stepping away from social media and it’s probably for the best.
Everyone knows what is happening between Taylor and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. Social media and the speed of the internet are blasting their domestic violence dispute and custody battle for all to see.
Now it looks like Taylor is finally stepping fully out the spotlight for the time being. She has chosen not to resume filming SLOMW for the time being. And she has deactivated her TikTok and Instagram accounts.
A source told PEOPLE that Taylor is taking a break for her mental health. “Taylor is taking a breather,” they said. ‘It’s been a lot last couple of months to consume and will be back shortly to continue sharing her story. She’ll decide when the time is right to return to filming on Secret Lives.”
This social media hiatus is the opposite of what she previously said she would do. When a commenter suggested she heal off of social media, the #MomTok content creator said she was going to do the opposite.
“I’ll continue sharing on social media showing how ugly healing truly can be,” she said. “Making and editing videos is my way of processing just like people like to write in a journal. This is my way and I choose to share it.”
Looks like not anymore. For now, SLOMW will continue filming without Taylor and Dakota. A source says she has the “option to return” is receiving a lot of support from the cast and producers.
