David Hasselhoff’s physical health has become a hot topic. The Baywatch star, known for his great physique in the past, has not been doing so well in that regard lately. David was recently seen using a walker, prompting speculation about his condition.
In the 90s, he wowed audiences with his body as Mitch Buchannon on Baywatch. He appears to be a far cry from how he looked when that show was airing.
The Baywatch star has had both a knee and hip replacement
At 73, David may no longer have the finely chiselled body 90s television fans remember fondly. TMZ reports that the Knight Rider actor needs the walker for now after undergoing knee and hip replacement surgery. The man who set a Guinness World Record as the most-watched man on TV years ago has had his share of chronic pain while being spotted at airports in the past in a wheelchair.
While fans are worried about David’s condition, word has it that this surgery is far from a sign of his condition deteriorating. TMZ is being told he still excercizes and hikes and enjoys doing physical activity. Likely, though, he can’t go as hard as he used to in the 80s and 90s on that front.
Years ago, David caught fans’ attention in another worrisome manner. A viral video in 2007 appeared to show him very drunk inside his home. His daughter, Taylor Ann, can be heard talking to him and urging him to lay off the booze. Reports suggest she recorded the video to show her dad how he behaved while intoxicated. It’s believed that she deliberately posted the video online.
