Kate Hudson is no stranger to sharing candid, heartfelt glimpses into her life, and her fans simply adore these super cute moments. However, her recent talk show appearance brought a particularly proud mom moment, right into the spotlight. While the conversation touched on everything from career milestones and upcoming work to future plans, it was the news of Kate Hudson’s eldest son, Ryder Robinson, being a college graduate that stole the show. Moreover, she just seemed to be so excited about this update.
Kate Hudson reveals son might be 1st in family to graduate college
The Bride Wars star recently appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s show, where she talked about a lot of topics. This list included her looking forward to growing old, how it felt to be getting an Oscar nomination for her marvelous role in Song Sung Blue, and, of course, working on the new season of her hit Netflix show Running Point.
But beyond this small talk on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Kate Hudson also spoke about her son, Ryder Robinson. The whole conversation started with the host asking her about him and how old he is.
To this, Hudson responded, saying, “Oh well, he’s not a kid. I mean. He’s still my kid. Ryder’s 22 years old.” This actually ended up shocking Fallon beyond comparison. He even asked if Robinson is going to school.
In fact, the reply for this one was even more shocking. Hudson exclaimed, “He’s graduating from college in about two weeks!” But that’s not all, she further added, “We realized that, and I could get this wrong and offend some generation in my family.”
Kate Hudson further stated with excitement, “But, I think he’s the first person ever in my family history to graduate from college. He’s doing it. He did it. He followed through. He went to NYU and loves it. He’s ready, you know, he’s ready to be in the world. He’s just so great!”
Additionally, Hudson proudly revealed that her second-born, Bingham “Bing” Hawn Bellamy, is now “an amazing drummer.”
Moments like these go beyond celebrity headlines, and they tap into something far more universal. Kate Hudson’s pride is unmistakable, not just in her eldest child’s achievement itself, but in the journey behind it.
