Should I Marry a Murderer? is the latest Netflix documentary series to captivate the nation. The three-episode series follows the shocking story of Dr. Caroline Muirhead, a Scottish pathologist who fell in love with a farmer and outdoorsman, only to find out that he had killed someone. Alexander “Sandy” McKellar had fatally struck a man with his car after a night of drinking, and he covered up the crime with his brother, Robert.
Sandy’s confession to Caroline after they had gotten engaged turned Caroline’s world upside down. He later revealed to Caroline where he buried the body of Tony Parsons, the cyclist he killed. Despite reporting her fiancé’s secret to the police, authorities weren’t able to charge Sandy and Robert with anything until they had enough evidence.
