LE SSERAFIM dropped an Instagram teaser this week and K-pop listeners are absolutely buzzing. The caption reads “intro of the year” next to a pair of eyes and a panda emoji. Short, confident, and yeah – it landed.
The post announces AND2BLE, a collab project pairing LE SSERAFIM‘s SAKURA with ZHANGHAO of ZEROBASEONE. The hashtag BOOMPALA looks like the debut track’s name. That panda emoji isn’t random. If you follow ZHANGHAO, you know 🐼 is basically his personal logo. Seeing it in the same caption as SAKURA’s name was enough to send both fanbases into overdrive.
The announcement crossed 151,000 likes on Instagram, a strong response for a teaser this early in the rollout.
SAKURA, known offstage as Miyawaki Sakura, has been one of LE SSERAFIM’s biggest international draws since the group debuted in May 2022 under Source Music. K-pop already knew her face well before the group formed. She came up through HKT48 and then the project group IZ*ONE. LE SSERAFIM built its name on high-energy pop, and tracks like “ANTIFRAGILE” and “EASY” have connected well across markets.
ZHANGHAO, full name Zhang Hao, is a Chinese singer who broke through during the Boys Planet competition in 2023. He debuted with ZEROBASEONE shortly after. His vocal style leans smooth and controlled. That approach earned him fans well outside ZB1’s core base, including a large following in China. The panda became his symbol early on and it stuck. Its appearance in this teaser feels very much on purpose.
Pairing SAKURA and ZHANGHAO under a shared project name makes a real kind of sense. Both have crossover appeal that goes beyond their main groups. Both have fanbases across multiple markets. Crossover collabs in K-pop aren’t rare. They tend to hit different when both artists carry genuine solo profiles. These two both do.
Calling the debut music “intro of the year” is a statement. It sets the bar high on purpose. BOOMPALA already has the right energy as a title – punchy and fun. The kind of name that sticks on the first read. No release date has been confirmed, but an announcement this confident usually means something is close.
K-pop fandoms are already deep in speculation mode. They’re decoding every hashtag and cross-referencing both artists’ schedules. Not one note has officially dropped yet. Opinions are already forming anyway. That kind of organic early momentum is hard to manufacture. AND2BLE seems to have it from the jump.
The era is just getting started.
