The UK’s 10 best parks have been voted on by members of the public who say the top spot is a “joy to walk around”. With the weather getting warmer, Brits may find themselves wanting to go for a peaceful stroll or to take a look at one of the many green patches across the country.
The top spot may surprise some given its location but other mentions on the list feature a delightful cavern, a safari park, and a coastal delight which proves popular for those wanting to get out of the city on a Bank Holiday. The top spot on TripAdvisor’s list is held by London‘s Hyde Park, which was hailed as a beautiful place to walk.
One review of the park reads: “Hyde Park is a joy to walk around in. Everywhere you turn is something beautiful. Not to be missed.”
Another reviewer agreed with this glowing praise and added: “Beautiful park in the middle of London. We love!” Hyde Park is located a short walk away from the Royal Albert Hall, the legendary venue which has played host to the likes of Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, and Pixies.
One traveller noted the historic venue as one of the better parts of the walk. They wrote: “After walking through to here, we enjoyed the peace of here, with couples and families walking, joggers running past us, as well as horse riders enjoying the early morning coolness.
“We walked past the Albert Memorial, opposite the Royal Albert Hall and onto Park Lane. Quiet, peaceful and a lovely place to relax and take 5 minutes to enjoy.”

“The lake is teeming with wildlife, the famous pelicans are a delight, and the flowerbeds and gardens are beautifully manicured. It’s the perfect, serene escape for a peaceful morning stroll.”
Another added: “This is a busy but beautiful park to wander through, not only because it sits right beside Buckingham Palace, but also because it offers plenty of peaceful benches and walking paths where you can escape the constant energy and crowds of London for awhile.”
