Gwyneth Paltrow’s Leaked Sam Altman Dinner Invite Says More About Her AI Fascination

A leaked invitation suggests Gwyneth Paltrow is hosting a private dinner for OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. The invite, which surfaced online, has sparked chatter about the wellness mogul’s growing fascination with AI. As of now, neither Paltrow nor Altman has commented on the circulating invite.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s investments in AI resurfaces amid leaked Sam Altman dinner invite

Gwyneth Paltrow is said to be planning a dinner in recognition of Sam Altman. As reported by Puck, the OpenAI chief is heading to the Hamptons, where Paltrow is allegedly distributing invitations for a “private, off-the-record” gathering at her home out East on August 29 in his honor. The invitation, which has been circulating on Reddit, notes drinks at 6 p.m. and a seated dinner at 6:45 p.m.

The founder of Goop has steadily increased her footprint in AI. From funding AI startups and endorsing an AI product to featuring the technology often on The Goop Podcast, it has become a signature theme.

According to Business Insider, the “Iron Man” star’s interest traces back to 2021. It began with an investment in Forethought AI, a customer-service automation company, followed by her participation in the startup’s $25 million funding round. In 2021, she also co-founded Kinship Ventures alongside Moj Mahdara. The VC firm now lists “AI-enabled tools and consumer tech” as a central focus in its portfolio.

Additionally, Gwyneth Paltrow has lent her voice to Speechify since 2023, the AI text-to-speech platform she supports as an investor. Her AI portfolio extends to Potion AI, which operates in beauty tech. It also includes Moments of Space, an AI-driven meditation platform she joined as co-owner in 2024. The Goop Podcast has shifted gears too. Of the last 11 episodes, five have called out AI in their titles or descriptions.

Paltrow has brought AI inside Goop as well. During a May interview at New York’s Meltwater Summit, she credited AI with improving efficiency in operations and media production. Her own AI stack, she noted, now acts like a “chief of staff” for the brand.
