Faith showed the unusual keepsake during the latest episode of Angela Scanlon’s Gift List podcast. “This little thing is actually a vial, and it’s got my boyfriend’s blood in it,” she said. The 45-year-old singer then asked, “Does that put you off me?” Scanlon laughed and replied, “No! It’s very Angelina-Billy Bob!”
Faith later acknowledged the comparison to Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton. “It is, isn’t it?” she told Scanlon before joking that Thomas had “plagiarized their present-giving.”
Jolie married Thornton in 2000, and the couple divorced in 2003. Their blood-themed keepsakes became a well-known part of their relationship.
Scanlon then asked how Thomas got enough blood for the vial. Faith explained that he had a blood test and asked the doctor for some extra blood.
“He had a blood test and just asked the doctor for a bit extra,” Faith said while laughing.
Faith also joked about what she could do with the gift if Thomas ever upset her.
“If he’s ever bad, I can just take a little bit out and make a voodoo doll out of it and stick pins in his eyes,” she said. “So, that’s great!”
Faith and Thomas welcomed their first child together on March 6. Their son is the singer’s third child overall.
