Speaking to Us Weekly for its annual Reality Stars of the Year issue, she said, “I don’t do spin classes. I really don’t ride a bike, but I like to still do Jane’s Fonda at least once a week. I love Jane’s Fonda. I love her so much. Her workouts on YouTube, I love them so much.”
The RHORI breakout star found her voice during Season 1, which premiered on April 2. Her repeated “Jane’s Fonda” mix-up and strong Rhode Island accent caught viewers’ attention on social media. Many Reddit users have also highlighted her quirky personality as a source of comic relief on the show. One of them wrote, “Alicia is reality gold with her accent and unintentionally quirky comments. And to add, she and her aunts can’t even understand one another with their accents.”
Since making her debut in April, fans in Rhode Island now regularly approach her in public. They often bring up their favorite moments from the show. Some quote her “crackers” line, while others mention the “pizza chips” from her Cranston restaurant, Pizza Mamma. Alicia runs the restaurant with her fiancé, Billy Kitsilis.
Talking about it, she said, “They have all just been a natural part of my life since before I can remember, so seeing everyone enjoy my favorite things brings me a lot of joy.” As Season 2 of RHORI continues filming, Alicia is still surprised by her growing popularity. She expressed, “I will never believe it. I still don’t believe it!”
