Chuck Lorre responds to White House criticism in a sarcastic Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage vanity card
Chuck Lorre fired back at the White House through a vanity card, a space where he often shares his opinions. At the end of the Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 3 premiere, he addressed White House spokesperson Davis Ingle’s remarks.
Lorre wrote, “A spokesperson for the White House recently announced that I need psychiatric help. I don’t disagree. I’m not a big fan of mood-altering drugs or electroshock therapy, you know, ‘Cuckoo’s Nest’ stuff.”
He added that he could consider talking to a trained professional who would help him address childhood experiences that negatively impacted his behavior.
Lorre wrote, “(A possible culprit could be weekly atomic bomb drills in grade school. This involved hiding under my desk to avoid being cut to ribbons from the classroom windows imploding.) It might also be worth investigating if toxins in my environment bear any responsibility for my ‘derangement.’ (Can’t ignore all those mesothelioma commercials.) Regardless of how we proceed, I do appreciate this very public concern for my mental health. It’s comforting to know my government is looking out for me.”
Lorre’s response came after Ingle told Fox News, “Chuck Lorre should immediately seek psychiatric help to treat his severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has completely rotted his peanut-sized brain.”
The White House’s criticism came after Lorre targeted Trump during his Founders Award speech. As per Variety, he said in his speech, “The courage to say Donald Trump is a Russian asset who traded teenagers with Jeffrey Epstein, and the wisdom to end on a cheap laugh.”
Earlier, Lorre was asked about the state of the U.S. under Trump and called him a “bloated orange piece of sh*t.”
Lorre has frequently used his vanity cards to comment on the Trump administration, and his latest response continued that pattern.
