Farming the correct materials for Lynx’s character Ascension and Traces in Honkai: Star Rail is an important part of optimizing the youngest of the Landau siblings as a character in a team comp. Lynx was finally introduced as a playable character in Phase 2 banners of Honkai: Star Rail 1.3, along with the 5-star support, Fu Xuan. Contrary to the Master Diviner of the Xianzhou Luofu, however, Lynx is a 4-star hero from Belobog. The young Landau character uses the Quantum element in battle and follows the Path of the Abundance. Because of this alignment, Lynx is considered a healer character.
With her abilities, Lynx can provide continuous healing to allies. In addition to this, she can dispel a debuff a character has undertaken in battle. Another interesting feature from Lynx’s gameplay kit in Honkai: Star Rail is the application of the Survival Response buff to allies. If the targeted character follows the Path of the Destruction or the Path of the Preservation, this will make them more susceptible to the opponent’s enmity, thus increasing the chance of them being targeted. This can prove to be a useful strategy by redirecting enemy attention to a tank or a DPS that benefits from HP loss, like Blade, for instance.
Ascension Materials To Farm For Lynx In Honkai: Star Rail
The first farmable items for Lynx’s character Ascension in Honkai: Star Rail are Extinguished Core and its evolved forms, Glimmering Core and Squirming Core, respectively. These items have been present in the game since launch and are obtainable during the early portion of the title. As such, veteran players may have leftover stock in their inventories. Nevertheless, a surplus of these items needs to be farmed, as they are also used for Lynx’s Traces. This set of items drops from several types of Fragmentum opponents, including Mask of No Thought, Ice Out of Space, Blaze Out of Space, Windspawn, Thunderspawn, Frostspawn, Flamespawn.
These opponents can be found in several distinct maps across the game, including Backwater Pass, Rivet Town, Cloudford, various areas of Herta Space Station, and more. This set of items can also be obtained from the Embers Exchange store, as rewards for Assignments, and prizes from the world shop in Herta Space Station. The second item needed for Lynx’s character Ascension is Nail of the Ape, which can only be acquired from the Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Abomination challenge introduced with 1.3. This activity features a mini-boss version of the Malefic Ape in Honkai: Star Rail.
The table below lists all the necessary items needed to go through Lynx’s level thresholds, which will allow her to be leveled to 80. The required amount is based on the number needed for all 4-star characters in the game so far:

The last needed resource for Lynx’s character Ascension process is Credits. Not too many of these are required, especially in comparison to the necessary amount for her Traces, but if you need to acquire more Credits in Honkai: Star Rail, you should farm the Calyx (Golden): Bud of Treasures activity in the Great Mine on Jarilo-VI.
Credits can come from most battles in the game, as well as rewards from events, but the best way to farm a fair amount quickly is to run the aforementioned Calyx challenge.
Materials For Lynx’s Traces (Abilities) In Honkai: Star Rail
To fully level all of Lynx’s Traces in Honkai: Star Rail, a significant amount of resources is needed, so the farming process itself is much more extensive and time-consuming. As was previously mentioned, some of the required materials are Extinguished Core, Glimmering Core, and Squirming Core. A vast amount of each of them is needed, so getting everything may take some time. Nevertheless, they should be the most easily farmable items in the set for upgrading Lynx’s abilities to the maximum level.
The three items needed for Lynx’s Traces are Seed of Abundance, Sprout of Life, and Flower of Eternity. These three materials are part of a single item family and are exclusive to Path of the Abundance characters. This means that, if you have already farmed for a healer and gather materials for Luocha in Honkai: Star Rail, for instance, you may have some leftovers. However, a large amount is needed, and you may need to challenge Calyx (Crimson): Bud of Preservation several times over multiple days to get everything that is needed.
As Lynx progresses through her Traces, higher-quality materials will be needed. As such, you will need to use the Synthesizer to convert 3x Seed of Abundance into 1x Sprout of Life, and 3x Sprout of Life into 1x Flower of Eternity. The same can be said about Extinguished Core, Glimmering Core, and Squirming Core.
The last notable item to farm in order to fully upgrade Lynx’s Traces is Regret of Infinite Ochema. This item can only be acquired after solving the Stellaron crisis on the Xianzhou Luofu. After unlocking the area’s Echo of War, you will need to beat Phantylia in Honkai: Star Rail in weekly boss fights to drop the item. As there is a cap on weekly boss challenges, it may take a while to muster up all the 12 needed for her. You will also need Tracks of Destiny to attend to her more advanced skills, though only a small total of five is needed.

The most notable resource in the Trace-leveling process, however, is Credits. A whopping 2.4 million Credits are needed to upgrade all of Lynx’s abilities, so it is more than likely that you will need to run Calyx (Golden): Bud of Treasures, especially if you are actively maxing out other characters in Honkai: Star Rail.
