Royal Fans Notice a Telling Prince George Detail During Outing With Prince William

Royal fans noticed a telling detail as Prince George joined Prince William for the Champions League clash between Aston Villa and Barcelona. The father-son duo shares a deep passion for the club, a love that the Prince of Wales has passed down to his eldest son. They regularly attend matches together, sporting the club’s signature claret and blue, and even travel overseas to support the team during major fixtures.

Here’s what royal fans are saying about Prince George during his latest outing with Prince William

Royal watchers couldn’t stop talking about Prince George after his latest outing with his father. On Tuesday, November 3, Prince William and his firstborn made an unexpected appearance in Spain, and followers quickly noticed the same trait in the young royal.

As reported by the Daily Express, the trip was a special bonding getaway for the two to the iconic Spotify Camp Nou to see Aston Villa face European heavyweight Barcelona in a high-stakes Champions League tie.

Long before kick-off, the royal duo received a warm reception from their Spanish hosts. Barcelona president Joan Laporta met them on arrival and handed each of them a personalised club shirt. In the build-up, the Catalan club had already issued a proud pre-match announcement, teasing that “a very special guest” would be seated in the directors’ box.

Unsurpisingly, attention was surely on the royals and how much the 13-year-old has shot up. Photos showed him standing strikingly tall beside his dad, a moment one follower on X captured perfectly with a spot-on take.

They wrote, “George has matured a lot in just the few months he’s been boarding at Eton. He’s a proper young man.” Another chimed in with, “Holy moly… 6 weeks of school and BAM!” A follower tweeted, “I said the same thing, PG has gone from a boy to a young man.”

William and George’s trip to Barcelona was not their first international football outing together. Before the recent Champions League clash, their last major appearance at an international fixture was the Euro 2024 final in Berlin on July 14, 2024, when England faced Spain.

The father-son duo had also attended Aston Villa’s Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain in April 2025, showing their continued support for the club on the European stage.
