Atlanta-based hitmaker GENT! has signed a worldwide co-publishing deal with Brandon Silverstein Publishing and Avex USA, the companies jointly tell Billboard.
“I’m grateful…and look forward to what we’re going to build together,” said GENT! in a statement about the signing.
The in-demand producer is fresh off a major release, having co-produced two singles (“Agora Hills” and “Shutcho”) off of Doja Cat’s new album, Scarlet, which was released on Friday (Sept. 22). His credits also include Lil Yachty’s “SOLO STEPPIN CRETE BOY” and Drake and 21 Savage’s “Privileged Rappers,” among others.
“GENT! is one of the most exciting producers in music today with a sound all his own,” said Silverstein in a statement.
Added Naoki Osada, CEO of Avex USA, “We are excited and grateful for the opportunity to support his success globally.”
Silverstein’s S10 Entertainment expanded its publishing venture with Avex USA in January 2022. Since that time, the companies have grown their collective roster to include Jasper Harris (Jack Harlow, Post Malone, Tate McRae), HARV (Justin Bieber) and Cxdy (The Kid LAROI), among other songwriters and producers.
Silverstein continues to manage Myke Towers, whose hit “LaLa” became his first No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart in July.
Avex USA is the American arm of Avex Group, the top music and entertainment company in Japan. AVEX USA oversees the record label SELENE, Avex USA Publishing and its Future of Music investment fund from its Los Angeles headquarters, Avex House.
