How To Unlock The Blaster Stance In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Quick Links

As players make progress through the main story of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, they are able to unlock a new fighting style for Cal called the Blaster Stance that uses both a lightsaber and blaster pistol in combat. Combining short-range lightsaber swings with long-range blaster fire, this stance is far from conventional. Players can explore different skills that expand this stance’s abilities, giving more ways to approach a fight.

While some may call using a blaster “uncivilized”, the main gimmick behind the Blaster Stance is a special pistol that players can use to shoot enemies from afar without having to close the distance with their lightsaber. Players have the option to charge a blaster shot to deal more damage, but this does take up more ammo when firing. However, hitting enemies or bosses with the lightsaber restores the blaster’s ammunition, encouraging a really fluid game plan that combines the best of both weapons.

How to Get the Blaster Stance in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Thankfully, it’s very easy for players to get the Blaster Stance naturally by progressing in the main story until they complete the “Koboh – The Forest Array” objective. From there, players can go back to the Mantis before traveling to Jedha and reuniting with Merrin. Before players embark on their next story mission, Bode offers their blaster pistol to Cal, which permanently unlocks the Blaster Stance.

Players can unlock the Blaster Stance by receiving Bode’s Pistol after reuniting with Merrin on Jedha after the “Koboh – The Forest Array” main story objective.

Like the other four stances in the game, players are able to select the Blaster Stance by choosing it at a Meditation Point. An immediate skill tree for this fighting style is shown once players sit down at any Point with the stance unlocked. With plenty of enemies in the upcoming mission to build skill points from, players have a great opportunity to upgrade the Blaster Stance right away if they want.

How to Use the Blaster Stance

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Blaster Stance with Description After Being Unlocked in Main Story

Unlike the heavy swings of the Crossguard Stance in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the Blaster Stance is quick, using swift thrusts that almost look like fencing. The best way enemies for this stance are weaker opponents like basic Stormtroopers and B1 Battle Droids, who can be picked off with one shot from the blaster. Juggling the blaster ammo to thin crowds of enemies while using the fast strikes of the lightsaber to take down tougher foes is the core strategy behind this stance.

Once players learn how to unlock the Blaster Stance in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, they can equip it along with one other style to switch between whenever they are in a fight, leading to a lot of flexibility with the right skills.
