On The Golden Bachelor premiere, it was Theresa’s 70th birthday, and she caught Gerry’s attention by emerging from the limousine announcing that she was going to show him her birthday suit. When she opened her wrap, she revealed flesh-colored undergarments, and they both laughed. Later, Gerry gave Theresa a cupcake for her birthday. He asked her if he took a bite of cupcake and had icing all over his mouth, would she help clean it up. She said yes, and asked him to do it. They then shared their first kiss. This encounter ignited a spark that has only burned stronger whenever they spend time together.
Theresa & Gerry Understand Each Other Because Of The Losses Of Their Spouses
Gerry gave Theresa his first one-on-one date of the season. They went to California’s Cadillac Jacks Drive-In & Diner, where they bonded about losing their spouses and feeling lonely. They talked about how they felt hope, while Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” played. They shared a kiss. Then, they participated in a flash mob, dancing in and outside of the diner. The date was joyous as it showcased the hope that Theresa and Gerry have to find another great love in their lives.

On her hometown date, Gerry met Theresa’s two sisters, her daughter, and three of her grandsons. Her daughter told Gerry that Theresa was at her house almost every day. It was obvious that Theresa has a deep bond with her family, and they love her very much. She feels the same way about them. On Theresa and Gerry’s one-on-one date, it was Gerry’s first time driving on the California freeway, and the headlights on his car weren’t working. He was very worried, but Theresa gently put her hand on Gerry’s shoulder, and he was instantly calmed. When Gerry met Theresa’s family, he told them this story, emphasizing how much it meant to him.
