Everyone needs a good support system. No one knows what each new day will bring. For Ariana Madix, it was a clear shock to discover that her longtime boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, had been cheating on her with their cast member, Rachel Leviss.
It was then more than ever that Ariana needed friends in her corner. Luckily, she found plenty as nearly everyone was on her side in the wake of Scandoval. Still, all the fan support could only go so far. Ariana, like anyone, needed real human connection to overcome her inner turmoil.
So, the Vanderpump Rules cast was willing to step up. At BravoCon 2023, Ariana gave a spotlight to those who’d helped her most in the aftermath of Season 10.
Ariana thanks her cast … mostly
The Today Show cataloged a clip from the VPR panel on their TikTok page. During the panel, Ariana discussed those who helped her the most through 2023 in the wake of Scandoval. “All the girls have been absolutely amazing, I love the girls in the cast,” she began, referencing Lala Kent and Katie Maloney at her side. “James [Kennedy] has also been an incredible supporter.”
She went on, “Ally [Lewber] is amazing … Lisa [Vanderpump], always and forever, I love you.” Lisa responded with “I love you too,” before the panel moved on. Commenters on TikTok voiced their support of James, with one user calling him “one of the girls,” and another labeling him “the number one guy in the group.”
However, commenters also noticed whom Ariana chose to exclude from her list. For one, she didn’t mention her boyfriend, Daniel Wai. Of course, Daniel isn’t an official VPR cast member—the group Ariana pulled from. But beyond that, fans were quick to note that Ariana didn’t name Scheana Shay. While it was likely an accident, fans still ran with the unintended shade.
Vanderpump Rules Season 11 airs January 2024 on Bravo.
