It’s coming up on five months since their epic defeat last November, and Democrats from New York to Texas to California are only getting nuttier.
Start here in Gotham, where City Councilman and comptroller hopeful Justin Brannan (D-B’klyn) wants to divest city pensions of Tesla stock.
Not because it’s a bad investment (it’s up more than 22,000% all time, though down of late) but because “Elon Musk is deadly for democracy.”
In other words, screw the retired cop or teacher seeing good returns, and/or the taxpayers who’ll have to make good if the fund falls short; screw the green-car movement Tesla supercharged: Elon Musk baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!
This freak-show lefty posturing, instead of delivering for normal people, is precisely what voters have revealed they don’t want.
Over on the other coast, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), oblivious to how her party took an absolute trouncing over its catastrophic border policies, recently blathered at an anti-Trump rally that the president should deport his wife, Melania.
She apparently meant the bizarre statement as a knock on Donald Trump for being a critic of birthright citizenship, yet all Waters managed to do was prove she understands neither birthright citizenship (Melania, born in Slovenia to Slovenian parents, doesn’t have it) nor what’s happening in American politics.
Voters literally just showed loud and clear that they are willing to dump an incumbent president and aligned members of Congress over border failures, and this senile attempt at trolling is the response?
Saving the worst for last, welcome rising Democratic star Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas.
She called Gov. Greg Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels” as a dig this week, making fun of him for being in a wheelchair (though she later tried to pretend she wasn’t).
That she outed herself as an “ablist” at a Human Rights Campaign gala is the cherry on this sundae.
But she also outed herself as yet another Dem totally divorced from political reality.
Does she really think even Abbott’s critics will take up a dumb slur as a rallying cry?
The Democrats’ idiocy is good news in one way: These lunatics’ refusal to learn the lessons of November means they’ll likely be gone all the quicker in 2026 — and even less able to slam everyday Americans with their nutso beliefs.
