Kiuyoyou Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom provides puzzles related to how elements interact with each other for players to solve to receive special rewards. Between jets of fire and blocks of ice, players can learn how these forces interact within the game. With some clever object placement using one of Link’s new abilities, players should be able to easily figure out the solution to the challenges at this Shrine.
Players can find Kiuyoyou Shrine at Lindor’s Brow, specifically at the coordinates (-1106, 2090, 0104) toward the northeast of this region. The most used feature on the puzzles here is Link’s new ability in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom called Ultrahand. This mechanic lets players move objects around in different directions to carry them to new spots or craft creative tools using fusion.
How To Solve The Fire & Ice Shrine
The first room of this Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has an ice block to the player’s left and a platform subjected to jets of flame on the right. A small indent in a wall to the left shows a pressure plate that the ice block could rest on to open a gate forward. The problem is that the ice block is too big to fit in that space, so players need to use the flame jets to shrink the ice block so that it fits, activating the plate and opening the gate.
From here, there are gusts of wind on the right that players can glide through to a far-off platform using their paraglider. A pillar is dropping ice blocks into more flame jets, causing the ice to melt nearly instantly. Using Ultrahand to move a stone slab nearby lets players stop this process by blocking off the flames. The rest of this puzzle in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will need at least one ice block.
After taking an ice block away from the jets, players should attach the stone slab on top of the ice before pushing the ice block down the spiky path back to the previous area. On the first platform seen in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Shrine with the flame jets, there is a pressure plate underneath. Players can place the ice block under the flames, using the stone slab to block the fire from melting the ice to open the late gate to the end of the Shrine.
Rewards For Solving The Kiuyoyou Shrine
Before returning the ice block to the first room, players can use the slab to reach a higher platform to the far left from the gusts of wind. Taking the smaller ice block from before up with players lets them reach a chest hidden in this spot. A powerful melee weapon, a Zonaite Spear, can be earned to fight against the variety of enemies found in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
However, the best item from this place is a Light of Blessing given from the altar past the final gate. Trading 4 Light of Blessings to a Goddess Statue gives players either more Heart Containers or Stamina Vessels in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a fantastic reward for solving the challenges of Kiuyoyou Shrine.
