When it comes to Real Housewives of New Jersey royalty, the Giudice family never fails to make headlines. Right now, the main topic of discussion is Teresa Giudice’s second-husband Luis Ruelas, and his jaw-dropping legal issues. It’s been reported that he owes over $2.5 million dollars in New Jersey taxes. Not to mention that Teresa herself has been called out for owing $300,000 in tax lien debt.
Before all of this financial chaos, there were the immigration issues with Joe Giudice. After serving time in prison, he was deported back to Italy and as of now, he can’t return to the states. Needless to say, the RHONJ family needs a good lawyer … and that’s where Gia Giudice comes in. The oldest Giudice daughter, who now holds a degree in criminal justice, announced right after her undergrad graduation that she planned to attend law school. She even got a job working in immigration after her father was deported.
Even though Gia revealed in 2024 that she was taking a break from law school prep, it was assumed that with all of this tax chaos, she would be getting back to studying any day now. Well, that’s not exactly the case.
RHONJ star Gia Giudice has put off law school
On a recent episode of her podcast Casual Chaos, Gia gave an important life update, specifically about her career. Shockingly, she revealed that she isn’t continuing her law education anytime soon.
“Starting to become more active on social media did not deter my love for the law, but it did deter my focus to becoming a lawyer. If my heart was fully set on becoming a lawyer, I would have had to give up social media, give up everything I was doing, and honestly give up the money coming in. I’m just being real with you,” she shared in the March 24 episode.
Gia did make it clear, though, that she still has a passion for law and that she’s not saying never to becoming a lawyer.
“The chapter’s not closed. I can always pull a Kim [Kardashian] and go back to law school, do it part-time.”
So, as for now, Gia’s priorities are social media, her new podcast, and her upcoming Bravo show.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is available to stream on Peacock.
