Producers on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City had “no idea” about Monica Garcia and her connection to the Reality Von Tease social media accounts. The denial comes after fans wondered if that was exactly why rookie Monica was invited onto the show in the first place.
In the bombshell Season 4 finale, OG Heather Gay confronted Monica in front of the rest of the cast. She said she had the, “RECEIPTS! PROOF! TIMELINE! SCREENSHOTS!” to ultimately conclude that Monica was a “f*cking bully and a f*cking troll.”
While Monica denied being the sole person responsible for the Reality Von Tease account, she did admit to having some involvement. She claimed that her main mission was to take down Jen Shah; the convicted criminal who she once worked for. “I think that scamming elderly people out of millions of dollars is a bad thing,” she said in confessional. That’s hard to argue with.
RHOSLC producers would have told the “core four” about Reality Von Tease if they knew
A source claimed that producers on RHOSLC would have informed the “core four” about the connection between Reality Von Tease and Monica, if they had known. That is Heather, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, and Whitney Rose.
“Had they been aware prior to [the ladies’ vacation in] Bermuda, they would have never withheld that information from the core four,” the source told Page Six. “It was a shock to everyone, even Monica.”
A second source added: “Monica figured the information would come out eventually but she was hopeful that she could’ve gotten through her first season without anyone blowing her cover.”
Looks like Monica didn’t realize we had actual Sherlock Holmes on the cast, in the form of our Bad Mormon. Where is Heather’s Pulitzer? And we’re still rooting for the show to grab some Emmy nominations.
The three-part Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 reunion begins Tuesday, January 9, at 8/7c on Bravo.
TELL US – ARE YOU SHOCKED THE RHOSLC PRODUCERS DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT THE CONNECTION? DO YOU THINK THERE’S MORE TO UNPACK ABOUT REALITY VON TEASE?
