Apple TV+ films have been nominated for 13 Oscar awards


Lily Gladstone and Leonardo DiCaprio in ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’

Martin Scorsese and Eric Roth’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” epic earns Apple TV+ its second-ever Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” has been nominated for Best Picture, where it will compete with nine other movies, including “Barbie,” “Oppenheimer,” and “Anatomy of a Fall.” Martin Scorsese has been nominated for Best Director.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” has further nominations for Robert De Niro as supporting actor, plus Best Costume Design, Production Design, Cinematography, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), and Film Editing.

At the same time, Apple TV+ movie “Napoleon” has been nominated in three categories — Visual Effects, Costume Design, and Production Design.

The 96th Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. It will be televised on ABC.
