Vacheron Constantin Introduces Overseas Tourbillon High Jewelry

With a history dating back to 1775, Vacheron Constantin has been a luxury watch and clock manufacturer. In 1819 the company became Vacheron & Constantin in 1970 it became Vacheron Constantin and since 1996, it has been a subsidiary of the Swiss Richemont Group. Following the release of its 35mm self-winding Overseas in Iceland, the Swiss company just released the Overseas Tourbillon High Jewelry.

A new sportier model than the previous timepiece which is in stunning pink gold, this watch is crafted in white gold, a first for Vacheron Constantin in their Overseas Collection.  Characterized by its satin-brushed blue dial, the watch’s bezel is adorned with 60 baguette-cut diamonds, truly making this watch stand out. Along with its creative aesthetic, Overseas Tourbillon is powered by impeccable technical mastery.

The slim profile of the watch is made possible thanks to Calibre 2160, its ultra-thin movement, measuring only 5.65 mm thick. Thanks to its 22K gold peripheral rotor, it provides an 80-hour power reserve and the technical movement is viewed entirely from the back. As a testament to high watchmaking expertise, some of the Calibre 2160 features include Côtes de Genève adorned bridges and a circular-grained main plate.

The interchangeable bracelet/strap system allows the user to adapt to various occasions and best of all, to change the strap it is tool-free. Switch between a white gold bracelet with a folding clasp, a blue rubber strap, or a blue calfskin leather strap. Even if you are dressing down the watch for a more casual vibe, each strap features a white gold pin buckle set with 16 baguette-cut diamonds.

Although this watch skews more sporty than some of its previous launches, it still packs a punch for a high-jewelry timepiece.
