Tom Sandoval can’t help but dig himself into a deeper hole. Even months after the public revelation of his cheating on Ariana Madix. The Vanderpump Rules star has been public enemy number one for Bravo fans since early 2023.
Tom has done his best to take his public image back into his hands. However, as expected, every attempt on his part has been met with loud criticism from the fanbase. One might think Tom would learn to tread more carefully. Evidently, that’s not the case, with recent comments on Ariana that are sure to ruffle some feathers.
Tom claims Ariana “trusted” and “felt safe” with him
During the Season 11, Episode 1 After Show, Tom and Ariana were asked to reflect on their living situation. Tom said, “I feel like it was more of a bigger deal to everybody else than to us. It was kind of like, reassuring to me because I feel like Ariana … I feel like she really went out of her way to try to dehumanize me, but it feels like more performative than anything.”
Tom continued, “Because at the end of the day, if she thinks I’m this like, serial killer, then why is she still okay living with me?” Being safer than a serial killer is a low bar to cross. He added, “I felt like on some level, she trusted me and felt safe … with me there – being there – than her being alone in that house.”
As fans have discovered over time, the living situation between Tom and Ariana is complicated. Tom is free to ask why Ariana wouldn’t move out, but he must recognize the hypocrisy when he admits he doesn’t want to move out either. He can rationalize it all he wants.
Ariana, for her part, said, “I lived through what I thought was my worst-case scenario and I learned I can do anything. So, I can live in an annoying living situation for two months if it means I’m setting my future up in a good way for me.”
Vanderpump Rules Season 11 continues Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
