Nathan Smothers, 23, is on Farmer Wants a Wife for one reason only: to find his wife, of course! Nathan hails from Bartow, Florida. He grew up working his family’s farm and citrus groves, according to his FOX bio. Nathan’s farm is 300 acres and is cattle property is an additional 500 acres.
His dad died when he was 12.
Nathan was only 12 years old when his dad passed away. After the tragic loss, Nathan “quickly grew up and became the man of the house, helping to support his Mom and three sisters,” his bio says.
He has a big family.
As mentioned above, Nathan has three sisters. He’s also an uncle to six nieces and nephews! He celebrated the birth of his youngest nephew, Beau, on Instagram on January 17. “Nephew Beau is here! Had the pleasure of meeting this little guy this past weekend! Make that uncle to six now! Congrats!” he wrote alongside a photo of him holding the newborn.
He wants kids of his own.
After he (hopefully) finds his wife on the show, Nathan wants to have children with her. His bio says he’s “eager to begin his next chapter, including starting a family with the love of his life.”
He’s the youngest farmer on the show.
At 23 years old, Nathan is the youngest of the four suitors on Farmer Wants a Wife season 2. Mitchell Kolinsky is 27, Brandon Rogers is 29, and Ty Ferrell is 42.
