This weekend, the streaming giant will make some interesting additions from different genres to its catalog of licensed content, with the arrival of all seasons of the animated series The Batman, the animated movie The Boss Baby, season 5 of All American, the comedy movie Dirty Grandpa, and the Filipino drama The Portrait. As for original content, Netflix’s subscribers will get to enjoy a documentary series about a specific type of performers who make fantasy become reality underwater, a documentary about abuse victims, and an action-comedy TV series starring none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. Here are the best movies and TV shows coming to Netflix this weekend – May 26.

MerPeople

Netflix’s catalog of documentaries keeps expanding, and among its latest additions is MerPeople. This four-part docuseries takes a look into the world of underwater performers who turned their love for mystical sea creatures into real-world careers, going from putting on dazzling small-town shows in Florida to the crowning of the King and Queen of the Seas in the Bahamas. MerPeople is a journey of passion and perseverance in a world where fantasy becomes reality.

Victim/Suspect

Another addition to Netflix’s catalog of documentaries is Victim/Suspect, directed by Nancy Schwartzman. Journalist Rachel de Leon, from The Center for Investigative Reporting, travels nationwide to uncover a disturbing pattern: young women who have reported sexual assaults to the police have been charged with the crime of making a false report, arrested, and even imprisoned by the system that was supposed to protect them. Victim/Suspect had its world premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and got a limited release on May 19, 2023.

FUBAR

FUBAR Netflix

FUBAR is an action-comedy TV series created by Nick Santora and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. FUBAR follows Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger), a CIA operative about to retire who discovers a family secret that forces him back into the field for one last job, as it turns out that his daughter, Emma (Monica Barbaro), is also a CIA operative and his new partner. Also starring in FUBAR are Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster, Aparna Brielle, Andy Buckley, Gabriel Luna, and Travis Van Winkle.
